The Institute of Sociology of the University of Neuchâtel is hosting the 2019 edition of the Congress of the Swiss Sociological Association, co-organized by the Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Gerontology and Vulnerability NCCR LIVES and the Institute of Sociology, University of Neuchâtel and NCCR - on the move. Registration will open on February 15th.
The Institute of Sociology of the University of Neuchâtel is hosting the 2019 edition of the Congress of the Swiss Sociological Association. The theme of the event is The Future of Work. Many of our collective experiences and individual lives are organized around work. But work is changing. Technology, globalization, and new management practices are reshaping where, when, how, and how much we work. They also determine who works and who does not. This has far-reaching social and political implications that need to be unpacked.
Join for a three-day academic event in which we will discuss the origins, logic, and consequences of the transformation of work in contemporary societies.
- Participants must register online using the link on the website.
On-site registration will also be available on Sept. 10 and 11 (cash only).
- All workshop and plenary session participants (i.e, presenters and organizers) must register by July 31 to have their names included in the program.
